The 1747-UIC is purely a DH485 device on the network side it never passes unmodified DF1 through to the serial port like a general-purpose USB/RS232 device does. If you're using DF1 successfully, then the Channel 0 serial port must have been configured for DF1 all along. I figured out how to see program on SLC in Factory talk with a DF-CP3 Cable, I could not get the UIC Cable to work. You could use the DH485 port built into the 2711P-RN6, or connect a 1761-NET-AIC to the RS-232 port of the PanelView Plus and then connect its trunk port to the DH485 port of the SLC-5/03 controller with a 1761-CBL-AS03 or -AD09 cable or equivalent. I could run a DH485 Cable to the screen, would it plug directly to the processor? Similar to the PanelView Standard, the 2711P-RN6 and PanelView Plus emulate a RIO adapter, with both discrete and block transfers. Does Panelview Plus use the block transfers to the RIO com module.
